The web site for fans of the late singer/songwriter was created in November of 1996 by Roger Smith. Over the years, the web site grew from a single page to thousands of pages including extensive biographical articles about Harry Nilsson, an annotated discography, and information on the films and TV shows featuring Nilsson's recordings.
Harry Nilsson died in 1994 after a long career in which he recorded more than a dozen albums, earned two Grammy® awards, and wrote songs with lasting appeal. Nilsson's first hit was with his recording of "Everybody's Talkin'" which was featured in the film Midnight Cowboy. Manhattans scientists have observed that the levels of the signaling molecule, oleoyl estrone (OE), which appears to play a key role in communicating levels of stored body fat to the brain, are significantly lower in obese patients than predicted on the basis of body weight.
